Another smart reason to invest in smart udi
With his penchant for identifying strategic opportunities and breaking new grounds, the Chairman of Udi LGA, Chief Nwachinemelu Ifeanyi Agu engaged with the management of the Lion Business Park on ways of mutual beneficial partnership and strategic development penultimate last Monday.
The Chairman during his working visit which coincided with the unveiling ceremony presided over by none other but His Excellency, Rt.Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, appreciated the management for the choice of Udi LGA in siting their enviable innovative outfit, a cutting-edge, state of the art, multifaceted industrial park which would strategically highlight the local government’s place on the global map and assured of his government’s willingness to grant them any assistance within the Council’s capacity.
The Chairman of the Lion Business Park, Dr. John Okechukwu Mbonu, alongside the acting Managing Director, Mr Arinze Okoro and Dr uche Uzochukwu who is the non-executive director of the board, appreciated the Mayor for his leadership style and the ongoing Urbanization of the general 9th Mile area.
At the end, SmartCity Mayor secured the assurances of the Management that qualifying Udi Applicants would reserve the right of first refusal in terms of employment opportunities in the free trade zone facility sitting on 2,000 hectares of land.
This new working partnership is set to be consummated in a matter of weeks when the first ever Udi economic summit comes up.
