Secure, Peaceful and Calm Udi, a result of responsive governance in the LGA

On the 27th of December, the Mayor of Udi LGA, Chief the Hon Ifeanyi Agu took briefings from the Security Heads under the LGA, namely;
The DPOs of Udi, 9th Mile and Ezi-Nze Police Division, the DSS as well as other Departmental Heads in a specially convened Security meeting.
The Chairman appreciated them for their concerted efforts to keep Udi safe, while assuring them of his government readiness to support them at all times.
The Mayor reiterated that he convened the meeting to assess and appraise the security situation of the area within the year under review, analyse threats expected in the coming year and to review possible containment measures.

He commended the security agencies for neutralizing and nipping in the bud threats inimical to security while charging them to continue in that spirit going forward.

He particularly recalled that within the year under review, the LGA has recorded several threats and some unfortunate security challenges and emphasised that things are more calmed now owing to the commitment of the Security personnel.

The Officers were particularly happy for what they described as Mayor’s proactive approaches to security issues which had always helped them to bring several threats under control.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of a newly procured Sienna Buses for the Neighbourhood Watch Group and other Security organisations.
